Franco Manca - Belsize Park
Franco Manca pizzas are truly crafted – the sourdough is left to ferment for at least 20 hours before being topped with simple, high-quality ingredients. They are the stuff of food legend.
The pizza is made from the slow rising sourdough and is baked in our wood-burning oven at 500C (900F). The slow levitation and blast cooking process lock in the flour’s natural aroma and moisture giving a soft and easily digestible crust. As a result, the edge (cornicione) is excellent and shouldn’t be discarded. This recipe has been developed under the leading light of founder Giuseppe Mascoli. They are prepared by pizzaiolos using the traditional method that Mascoli learned at his family home in Naples.
You will not find a Meat Lover’s special in Franco Manca. No crust will be stuffed. Instead, diners have seven options, from a simple tomato and garlic to the more complex flavours - capers, olives, and Cantabrian anchovies, or cured chorizo [natural & Iberico] with mozzarella.
The restaurant in Belsize Park is less than one mile from our school, so it's local for a great-value family meal.

Since opening our first restaurant back in 1997, YO! Sushi has sourced all fish from reputable suppliers who share our same concerns with regards to environmental issues and sustainability of at-risk species through over fishing and the subsequent depletion of certain fish. So for example, we do not, and will never sell bluefin tuna.
We care about the journey of our food to ensure the best tasting and freshest dishes land onto your conveyor belt, so you can eat happy with a clear conscience.
