PARENTS - HELP US!

Even if your son/daughter is not attending, we'd still welcome your help; it's for a good cause and we cannot do it without you!

This evening is always a great social event for the parents as well (even if we are not allowed in the disco!), especially if you are new to the school. Bring some wine, we'll do the rest!

We'll need 6-12 helpers. Core of parent volunteers to be on site from 90 minutes ahead (4:15/4:30pm) to organise tables, get drinks and food laid out, help the suppliers to get set-up quickly on site.

Ready to briefly put your feet up at 5:45 with a glass of Prosecco before the locusts descend. But we're grateful for whatever time you can spare.

If you can stay until at least 8:30pm to help us clear away, and we are always finished by 9pm.

Please let us know if you can help, and whether it's for the whole event or just part (earlier is the busiest).

Money Donation

If you are unable to participate but would still like to make a contribution (personal or business) towards our fundraising, then please help us via an on-line donation: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/UCL-charity2015 (and ticking Gift Aid will add another 25% at no cost to you).

Match Funding
Parents, for those of you that work for larger organisations (or have a partner/grandparent/uncle/sibling that does), then you may be able to tap into 'Matched Giving' which could be worth £ thousands to us. Remember, all proceeds are for charity. Example info here, together with a list of UK companies:
https://www.ucl.ac.uk/makeyourmark/tax-efficient/corporate-matched-funding/Corporate_Matched_Giving_Companies.pdf
Let me know if you might be able to do this as it's an easy win.

Headline Sponsorship
Last year we were generously sponsored by Chesterton's Estate Agents, to match-fund all of the ticket income to cover the event cost. Ticket sales can then go to charity, to help the young homeless in London. Our kids get to have a great party, and build their social conscience with a decent charity donation.

See the bottom of the page for what we did for Chestertons.

If you know of an additional corporate sponsor that would be prepared to offer £1000-£1500 donation then let's get talking to them now! What's in it for the sponsor?... good karma and brand awareness.
We'll use a large banner with their branding on the school fence opposite Swiss Cottage library, at the busy intersection of Adelaide Road / Avenue Road, with an average of 13,000 vehicles per day passing by* / 585k over 45 days (*source http://www.uktrafficdata.info). Invites, banners inside the school, tickets, balloons.... everything gets branded with the sponsors house colours/ fonts, and they also get a big mention on the web site. We can do the design work.
We're game for a split sponsorship... could be complimentary services (e.g. estate agent and financial adviser or solicitor?)

Additional Sponsors
The more the merrier. If you know any business that would like to sponsor an aspect of the event, please let us know. We can thank them on the web-site, via social media, pull-up banners at the event (for a decent size donation), posters on the walls, etc. Some options for you to consider:

Sponsor the DJ - £350

We put on an incredible event with a fantastic light show and lasers. How cool would it be to have your company name flashed around the room in lasers!

Food Zone / Treats Zone - so much yummy stuff! £250 / £450

Sponsorship is only £250 to cover the cost of the goodies such as fruit, drinks, juices etc.

Or how much fun would it be to sponsor the incredible Treats Zone, with chocolate fountain etc. Just £250!

Sponsor both for £450.
The way to everyone's heart - through their tummy via popcorn, slush puppy, chocolate fountain etc. As well as all the healthy stuff on the opposite tables!
Help us to sponsor the Food Zone and you'll have your brand message on a large roller banner or posters next to the food areas with your sponsorship message. Your logo and brand info on our web site Sponsors page, with logo optimised for Google search.

Let us know if you have any success so we can get the marketing materials designed and printed.

Ice Cream
Marine Ices have kindly confirmed that they will donate a couple of hundred pots of ice cream.

Food / Drink Donations
The more we get donated, the more money we save. We have 150-200 kids, so if they could donate enough for 75+ it would be ideal. Fork / finger food is easier.

The restaurant gets lots of brand exposure at minimal cost, and the kids get to try some great food.

Creative ideas please.....

Pizza Hut - perhaps 10 large pizzas donated and delivered at 6:30pm?

Rossopomodoro (O2), Zizzi or Pizza Express - 10-20 large pizza perhaps? Some from each?

Carluccio's - perhaps a big dish of PENNE ALLA LUGANICA, some assortments of other pastas, and Crispy calamari?
Yo Sushi - the do a platter of 79 sushi pieces for £40, so I'm sure they could donate 2-3 of these (they were very generous in 2014 for the International Food evening).
Local supermarkets - soft drinks, snacks, brownies, fruit
Nando's - big box of chicken wings and drumsticks?
Frankie and Benny's (O2 centre) - BBQ ribs and wings, salads?
Starbucks - send someone along to whip up mocha frappuccinos!
Wagamama - selection of Gyoza, chili squid, chili chicken salad?
Guglee (Swiss Cottage) - Indian street food, Seekh Kebabs, Pani Puri, tandoori chicken pieces, naan, biryani
Estancia Brasil (Finchley Rd) - skewers of Linguica sausage,  frango chicken
Falafel City

Service donations
Maybe someone like Sprinkles on Finchley Road could come along and set up a milkshakes / smoothies bar. Good way to promote themselves.
How about a bartender to mix mock-tails for the kids?
Close-up magician - do you know someone who'll do a freebie/cheapie?

As with last year we'll try and get a couple of break-dancers in, but maybe you've got a contact with Tinie Tempah Coldplay who'll pop in for a quick acoustic set, Jimmy Carr to pop in for karaoke, or a footballer to do freestyling on the terrace?

Ideas
And finally, if you have any ideas to make it excellent (free or paid), please let us know and we'll see if it's viable. I'm especially thinking of the kids who don't want to be in the disco room (karaoke in the drama studio?).
Limbo pole?

Sponsor a close-up magician for the kids, and let them be amazed £150

Love sports? Sponsor the Football Zone If you can sponsor £150 we can bring in some football coaches to organsise some fun skills for the kids that don't want to dance.

All input welcome, but please be willing to take your idea forward, as we may not get a chance to investigate ourselves.

Thank you everyone.... the more we put in, the more incredible the event will be for the kids, and the more funds we'll raise for a great cause.
