Parent Action

The PTA can also work closely with the school management to to create school improvements, which might include:

 

Improvements to the playground or school access

School safety

Cycle training

Bike storage

​Arrange for briefings on Year 7 school transfer, applying to Grammar school, and 11+ tests
School meals
Local neighbourhood issues

After-school care

Parent satisfaction questionnaire

We have a wide selection of after-school clubs already, but the PTA will look at others (dependant on staff, classroom space, cost, and parent interest). Possible new after-school clubs could include:

Art Club

Chess / Backgammon club

Choir
Computer animation class

Dance (contemporary)
Drama club
ICT club
Language classes
Music club
Music lessons
Origami class
Sewing class
Table tennis

Yoga

This PTA team will also collate parent survey questionnaires, to work closely with the head to voice parent suggestions.

Some of these things may need funding, which may be from the school, or from the PTA fund.
